    All of my pottery is made by hand, every piece is unique and may have it's own special quirks. If you are new to purchasing or owning handmade Pottery, please keep this is mind before making an order.  Please read listings and descriptions thoroughly, it can be difficult to convey the size of a piece through photos therefore it is extremely important for you to review the dimensions carefully. I do my very best to measure each piece accurately, and represent each piece accurately. Glaze & clay colors may appears slightly different in person and under different lighting. My photos are taken under bright natural light and are edited slightly to lighten the overall photos. Under darker light some glaze colors will appear darker - many of my colored glazes are like colored glass and look different as the light changes.  

    Buying handmade may not be your cup of tea, and that's okay! 

    Returns 

    All orders are final sale, please review listings thoroughly before ordering. 

    As an extremely small business, all of the profits are promptly reinvested into the company and used to pay for supplies such as clay and glaze, shipping materials, and the equipment vital to creating pottery (like my kiln!). Therefore I ask that you consider your purchase carefully and review listings thoroughly, as I do not offer returns or refunds of any kind.

    United States: Calculated automatically by Canada Post based on your order size and location.  Your order will be processed & shipped within 1-4 business days. Please note that I cannot guarantee delivery dates, however Canada Post will provide an estimated delivery date with your tracking number.  SarahBeePottery is not responsible for any customs or duties charges that may arise upon arrival.

    Australia: International tracked packed rates are calculated automatically by Canada Post based on your order. Your order will be processed & shipped within 1-4 business days. Please note that I cannot guarantee delivery dates, however Canada Post will provide an estimated delivery date with your tracking number.  SarahBeePottery is not responsible for any customs or duties charges that may arise upon arrival.

    Lost Packages

    Please contact Canada Post first if you notice anything unusual regarding the delivery of your order via the tracking information. As SarahBeePottery will not have any additional information from what is available. Canada Post will start a ticket for you and give you a date which will mark the time when they’ve concluded a package is lost - after that date has passed they will direct you to contact me for the claims process.

    Abandoned Packages 

    Packages that are not picked up from your local post office by the deadline will be sent back to me, once returned to me you will receive a refund that does NOT include initial shipping fee OR any shipping charges paid by SarahBeePottery as a result of Canada Post returning the package. You will only be refunded the total order value remaining after both shipping fees are deducted. Please don’t abandon your packages, it’s not worth it and makes everyone sad.  

    Abandoned local pickup orders will be handled on a case by case basis and are subject to a restocking fee. If you are experiencing any barrier to being able to pick up your order please let me know so that I can find a way to get it to you.

    Orders will not be combined unless I am notified by email and approve the request before shipping.

  • Please sign up for my newsletter & turn on post notifications on IG! Things often sell out, and the process of making these wonderful pieces is quite slow. Check out my stockists page to see where else you can find my pieces. 

    I am currently restocking monthly. Restocks are more frequent September through June, and a bit less frequent over the summer months.

  • Local pickup is available for free in Edmonton, AB on orders valued over $20.00 CAD. At the checkout please choose local pickup as your shipping preference. Local pickup is no longer available at my home studio, it is now located at:

    You will receive an email once your order is ready for pickup with instructions. Please do not attempt pickup before receiving this notification, your order will be available for pickup in approximately 1-3 business days. Please pick up your order promptly (within two weeks). Orders that are not picked up will be considered abandoned. Someone may pick up on your behalf if they have your order number. 

    We encourage you to choose local pickup over shipping if you live in Edmonton, AB and are able to pickup your order. 

  • Almost all shipped orders will come double boxed to protect the fragile ceramics inside. 

    Please reuse or recycle anything you can. To recycle: remove the plastic shipping pouch or tape covering shipping label as well as any stickers and discard. Everything else can be recycled or composted. Recycle or repurpose the box, corrugated cardboard, cellulose wadding, kraft crinkle paper, and twine. Packing peanuts are water soluble and compostable. 

    I pack all of my orders with a variety of cardboard and paper products, please note that I do not offer gift wrapping services however I always pack every order and nicely as possible.  

    I will pack your order with the utmost care, however in the rare event something arrives damaged it must be reported to me by email at sarahbeepottery@gmail.com within 48 hours of confirmed delivery via Canada Post tracking. In this email please include your order number, and photos of the box and contents as it was received, as well as any relevant details. 

    SarahBeePottery cannot be held responsible for any damage or breakage in the future after successful delivery, handmade pottery can be fragile in nature and should be handled with care. If you decide to re-ship an order as a gift, please note that I am not responsible for any breakage that may result, and am only responsible for the initial journey your order takes. 

  • How Is It Made?

    Each and every piece of pottery is made by hand in my home studio located in Edmonton, AB. I utilize both hand building and wheel throwing techniques to create my collection of work. I exclusively work with Stoneware clay, and everything is fired to Cone 6 in an electric kiln. 

    Each batch of work (50-100 pieces) takes me approximately one to two months to make.

    Care Instructions

    To give your pieces their longest life treat them like art first and a dish second.

    I always recommend hand washing & avoiding microwaving your pieces, however it is completely safe to do both (unless your piece features gold, please read below).

    Pieces decorated with Gold or Mother of Pearl should not be placed in the dishwasher and never used in the microwave.

    Paint Palettes & Paint Accessories are hand wash recommended. They can definitely go in the dishwasher like any other dish, however paint generally needs to be gently scrubbed off with warm water and soap. I can speak from experience that the dishwasher just doesn’t clean paint off magically as much as I wish it did.

If you have not heard back from me on Instagram it’s likely because your message was filtered into my “message requests” folder, which unfortunately fills up super fast and I do miss things.
